TIMELINE
Following refusal of the planning application for the North Street Regeneration in January 2023, St Edward Homes can confirm that we have formally served notice on Guildford Borough Council informing them of our intention to appeal. The appeal will be lodged with the Planning Inspectorate imminently.
St Edward has also continued to actively engage with key stakeholders, local residents and statutory authorities to understand what changes would be required to overcome the Planning Committee’s reasons for the refusal.
We can confirm that after several months of positive engagement, alongside the appeal we will also be submitting a revised planning application to address the reasons for refusal, which will be heard at Guildford’s Planning Committee towards the end of this year. Should the committee vote in favour of the revised scheme St Edward has committed to withdrawing the appeal before an inquiry.
